How long will it take to paint the mural?

It depends on the size and complexity of the piece as well the environment I’ll be working in. I’d be happy to discuss the details your project in order to give you an accurate time frame. If you have a specific deadline for your project, please let me know.

How long will the mural last?

I use high quality, professional-grade, mural paints and seal my work with 2 coats of durable mural varnish. You can safely expect your piece to last for many, many years.

How much will it cost?

It depends.

I know that answer can be frustrating to hear, but it truly does depend. How complex or detailed is the final design? What is the wall made of and what kind of condition is it? Will the mural need to withstand heat, humidity, and other weather - or will it be inside? Is special equipment needed to paint it - such as a lift?

My murals are generally between $15 - $35/sq ft. I’d be happy to discuss your project with you and give you a more accurate estimate based your specific needs.

One half of the fee is due up front; the remainder is due upon completion of the mural.

Can you copy this picture I found on Google?

Sorry, but no.

Most images are copyright protected and it’s not legal to replicate them - even in mural form.

I can however, work with you to create a custom design inspired by images you like. Using the picture(s) as inspiration, allows me to create something truly unique and special for you.

Can the mural be a portrait of a specific person?

Yes! I love painting portraits at any scale. I would be pleased to design a unique and meaningful portrait mural for you.

Will you create a mockup of the design?

You can get an idea of the types of murals I create by looking at my previous murals and paintings. (See examples here and here.) I work in a range of styles and specializing in bright, colorful, painterly designs - especially ones featuring people.

I’d be happy to create a design mockup for you, including one round of tweaks and changes, for a $200 fee. The fee will be applied to your mural deposit once a design is agreed upon. If you’d like further changes to the design, they can be made for an additional fee. Because of the amount of time involved in creating a design mockup, I’m unable to offer a refund if you decide not to proceed with the mural. Please be aware that I retain all rights to the design.
